In the past few years I’ve been making plaster molds from kitsch objects depicting Aborigines manufactured Mid-century and reinstating them on handmade ceramic cultural shaped objects with interpretations of my ancestors traditional Gomeroi design work, is an active gesture towards healing and transformation symbolically at a domestic level, as these were/are domestic objects, but also at a deeply personal level for me.
