1905 Little Sacred Seam Wall Piece

This piece depicts underground opal seams prevalent at the ‘Ridge’ (Lightning Ridge NSW) country of the Yuwalaaraay mob who we, Gomeroi mob, share language with.

This piece is part of my latest run of diffusion ware and is a step in a new direction as I’ve moved to a new stoneware clay which has been pinched thinner and is fired higher to 1280 degrees Celsius resulting in a stronger body and matt finish.

This art piece comes threaded with silver wire and ready to hang.
