1873 Yulugi (Corroborree) Wall piece

The design depicts a yulugi (dance) formation in a round dance ground. Each dot represents a person dancing. the overall design is also like a tree. (Gamilaraay Language)

This piece is part of my latest run of diffusion ware and is a step in a new direction as I’ve moved to a new stoneware clay which has been pinched thinner and is fired higher to 1280 degrees Celsius resulting in a stronger body matt finish.

The art piece is threaded with silver wire to hang on the wall
